A Note To Students

Even if you鈥檝e been unable to attend lessons throughout the academic year, it鈥檚 still important for you to sit your GCSE exams. You may well surprise yourself with the knowledge that you have.

Even if you don鈥檛 necessarily feel ready, sitting the exam is still good practice and will actually give you an advantage to prepare for the moment when you are feeling ready to give it your best shot.

We all know that you can block your future progression for your career or halt your chances of enrolling in further education if you don鈥檛 secure a GCSE qualification. Gaining English and Maths qualifications supports progression to your next steps, improves employment opportunities, and brings the prospect of earning higher salaries in the future.

If you’re struggling to believe in yourself, just know that you are not alone and many of us experience self-doubt, but as Theodore Roosevelt said: 鈥淏elieve you can and you鈥檙e halfway there鈥. Don’t just take our word for it, take it from these prominent figures..

As Maya Angelou said: 鈥淣othing will work unless you do.鈥 As Pablo Picasso said: 鈥淎ction is the foundational key to all success.鈥 And one of the most apt quotes from Robert Kiyosaki: 鈥淒on鈥檛 let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning.鈥

As a college, we will:

  • Offer activities that will support any student who may experience anxiety
  • Call home to remind you that you have an exam
  • Send SMS and email messages to remind you that you have an exam
  • Support students with transport where necessary
